Origin · Guizhou, China

A mountain that protects its tea

Fanjing Mountain rises out of the clouds of northeastern Guizhou. It has been a UNESCO Biosphere Reserve since 1986 and a World Heritage Site since 2018, home to ancient forests and species found nowhere else. Our farm sits entirely inside the protected site, so it can never grow bigger than the land allows.

Whisked powdered tea began in Song-dynasty China, centuries before it travelled to Japan. Our matcha brings it back to the mountains where the tradition started.

Every lot, traced and tested

Each harvest lot carries its harvest date and grade, and goes to an independent lab for pesticide and heavy-metal testing before it ships. We publish the reports so you can read them yourself.
